During Configuration Wizard after an ?NPM 12 upgrade, an error may be encountered that a given module, such as F5, cannot have its collector service closed and then the Configuration Wizard stops. The error message may vary.

NPM 12

The collector service is suspended or otherwise cannot close.

  1. On the Orion server, go to Task Manager in Windows.
  2. On the process list, look for solarwindscollector, and end all instances of it.
  3. If it will not close, disable the service in Windows services, reboot, and re-enable the service before running Configuration Wizard again.
