Child Status Not Displayed On Node Icon

This article explains why the child status is not displayed on a node icon in Orion. This happens if Orion.NPM.Interfaces is set to false in your "NodeChildStatusParticipation" table of your database. 


  • NPM



  1. Go to Orion database manager
  2. Add Default Server 
  3. Expand your database 
  4. Double click NodeChildStatusParticipation table  
  5. Execute query 
  6. Enable table editing 
  7. Set "Orion.NPM.Interfaces Installed" to true or check the check box


Stop/Restart Orion services.

  1. Click Start > All programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Orion Service manager
  2. Click Shutdown Everything to stop all Orion services
  3. Click Start services to start the services
