Change the location of the log files stored in C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds

Updated January 3, 2017

Overview

This article describes how to change the location of the log files stored in C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds.

Environment

All NPM versions

Cause

Low capacity drive.

Resolution

The logs location cannot be change.

SolarWinds uses the Windows %ALLUSERSPROFILE% to store its logs. This is not configurable within the SolarWinds environment as it is a Windows setting.

If you need to move this, you would need to change the Windows variable. This is a global Windows setting, like temp, windir ang others.
