Change the Web Console name to FQDN

This article describes how to change the actual website name to a full qualified domain name (FQDN).

For example, http://actualwebsitenameXXX:XX/Orion/ to

Note: Before doing any work on your database please make sure that you have a current backup as this will make a permanent change to your database.

  1. Go to Start > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Database Manager
  2. Click Add default server.
  3. Right-click on SolarWindsOrion database and select New query.
  4. Open Websites table, then click Enable table editing in top menu.
  5. Change the value of Server Name to FQDN.
  6. Change the columns Port and SSLEnabled accordingly
  7. You might need to stop and start Solarwinds Information services
