Cannot add or edit nodes in the Web Console

Overview

When attempting to add or edit a node, you receive an unexpected error. 

In the Orion.web log, you will see something similar to the following:

2017-01-24 11:37:11,730 [17] (4) ERROR Orion_NPM_Controls_UCS_UcsManagerCredentials - (null)  System.Threading.ThreadAbortException: Thread was being aborted.

2017-01-24 11:37:11,730 [17] (4) ERROR SolarWinds.Orion.Web.NodePropertyPluginManager - (null)  Unexpected exception while initializing Node Property Plugin UcsManagerCredentials. Details: System.Threading.ThreadAbortException: Thread was being aborted.

2017-01-24 11:37:11,745 [17] (4) ERROR ASP.global_asax - (null)  Application_Error(49a98e32aad24176864577d9f188a991)
System.Web.HttpException (0x80004005): Request timed out.

 

The UCS is located in the NPM module.

Environment

NPM version 12.0.1

Resolution

  1. Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
  2. Run a repair of the SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor.
