Overview

Status for any Cisco router series (or all other Cisco devices) show as Wireless Autonomous AP when viewing in Node Details.

Environment

NPM 10 and later

Cause 

The web preview default settings on objects is Wireless Autonomous AP.

Resolution

  1. Login to WebConsole as an administrator.
  2. Go to Settings and click on Views by Device Type under Views sectio..
    1. If you cannot find the Views section, click Manage Accounts and select the admin user that is currently in use.
    2. Click Edit.
    3. Change the Allow Account to Customize Views setting to Yes.
    4. Click Submit.
    5. Go to Settings and click on Views by Device Type under Views section.
  3. Look for the Object Type and set the Nodes to Select a Web View value. 
  4. Click Submit.
