Alerts Incorrectly Report Wireless AP Status as Unreachable

This article describes a scenario where an alert triggered on wireless AP status incorrectly reports the status in the alert message.


  • NPM, all versions


This can occur if the macros used in the alert are incorrect.


  1. In the web console, browse to the alert that is reporting the status incorrectly.
  2. Edit the alert.
  3. In the alert actions, in each message with the incorrect status, replace the status with the macro ${N=SwisEntity;M=Status;F=Status}.
