Overview

Steps to create an alert for High Transmit Percent Utilization.

Environment

NPM web-based alerts

Steps

​1. GoTo Orion Webconsole > Settings > Manage Alerts.
2. Select High Transmit Percent Utilization. Duplicate and then Edit.
3. Enter the following information in the Properties field and then click Next:

  • Name - Your preference
  • Desciption of alert definition - Your preference
  • Enabled(On/Off) - ON


4. Trigger Condition
I want to Alert on: Interface

5. The Scope of the Alert
All objects in my environment

6.The Actual trigger Condition
Trigger Alert When - All Child conditions must be satisfied (AND)
Interface - Transmit Percent Utilization - is greater than - 80 %
Click Next.


7. Reset Condition
Reset this alert when trigger condition is no longer true (Recommended)
Click Next.

8. Trigger Action
Add Action - Send an Email message via an SMTP Server
Configure Action - Fill All Fields
Add Action
Click Next.

Repeat (Trigger action Steps) for Reset Action.

Summary
Check configuration and then click Submit.
