Issue

Agent update or repair fails on a remote node.

Environment

 Orion Platform 2014.1.1 and later

Resolution

An update or repair to an agent on a remote node may fail in either of the following cases:

  • There is an open handle on the Agent Service on the remote node.
  • Another installation is in progress on the remote node.

To address this issue, confirm both of the following:

  • There are no applications, including the Administrative Tools > Services window, on the remote node that are accessing the Agents Service.
  • There are no installations in progress on the remote node.
