Adjust PDF timeouts in NPM 12

Table of contents

Updated January 6, 2017

Overview

You may find that reports or charts exported to PDF fail due to timeouts. This can be adjusted by doing changes in the Advanced Configuration.

Environment

NPM 12 and later

Steps

Note: Changes in the Advanced Configuration should only be undertaken by experienced users or under instructions from Solarwinds Technical Support.

  1. Open the Orion Advanced Configuration by changing the Web page url:
    {OrionWebsite}/Orion/Admin/AdvancedConfiguration/Global.aspx
  2. When this page opens, scroll down to the ExportToPDFCmd.ExportToPDFSettings :-
  3. If the document that is being converted is very large, it may be necessary to increase the Conversion or Navigation timeout.
  4. Save the changes and test the export function again.
