Overview

The verification fails when using SNMPv3 to add devices to Orion. The SNMP credentials are correct upon checking.

Environment

All NPM versions

Cause

Google Chrome is auto populating the context field in the SNMPv3 credentials that is causing the incorrect information being sent.

Resolution

  1. Use a different browser. For example, Internet Explorer or Firefox.
  2. Remove the auto population fields from Chrome (contact Chrome support for details).
