Add an interface on an existing interface traffic report

Overview

This guides you to add another interface on an existing Interface report - using Report Writer.    

This article will help if you are using a defined interface ID on the filter tab on the report - Report Writer.

Environment

All NPM versions

Steps

  1. Login to your Orion Web Console.
  2. Go to the interface details page where you want to add on this report (drilling down to its interface page on NPM Web Console).
  3. Look on the URL above of that page:
    For example: http://XX.XX.XX.XX/Orion/Interfaces/...px?NetObject=I:10654
    The bold one is the Interface ID – take note on that number\.
  4. Remote access now your Solarwinds Server.

  5. Go to Report Writer >> open the Report >> Filter Result tab.

  6. Click the Box with 3-dots (…).

  7. Select Add Elementary Condition.

  8. * >> Interface >> Interface details >> Interface ID is equal to (the interface ID).

  9. Repeat the steps for the other interfaces you want to add.
