Overview

This article describes how to add a search textbox on a view in NPM.

Environment

NPM versions 11.0.1 and 11.5.2

Resolution

  1. Log in to your Orion Web Console.
  2. Go to the page where you would add the search textbox.
  3. Click Customize Page.
  4. Click + to add resource in your preferred Column.
  5. Add the Search Nodes resource.
  6. Click Done.
  7. Refresh the Orion Web Console. The search textbox appears in the column that the resource was added.

NOTE: you will not be able to search for unmanaged VM nodes on the 'Node Search' resource. Unmanaged VM nodes must be managed first on the Orion before you can search it.
