Add a resource for down APs

Overview

This article shows how to create or add a resource for down APs.

Environment

NPM 11.5.3

Steps

  1. In the Orion Home Summary Page, click on Customize Page.
  2. Choose a column where you want to add the resource for down APs and click on the Green + button.
  3. In the Add Resource window, search for Custom and then select Custom table in the search results.
  4. Click on ADD SELECTED RESOURCES.
  5. Back in the Customize Orion Summary Home, you can move the resource Custom Table up or down by selecting it and clicking on the Up or Down buttons.
  6. Click Done.
  7. Once you are back in the Orion Summary Home, look for the Custom Table resource that you added and click Configure this resource.
  8. In the Edit Resource: Custom Table page, enter the Name that you want to assign to this resource and then click Select Dataresource.
  9. In the Data source picker screen:
    a. Select Wireless Access Point in the I want to report on dropdown menu.
    b. Click Add Condition and select the following:
    Status > is equal to> Down
  10. Click Update Data Resource.
  11. Once you are back in the Edit Resource: Custom Table, click the Add column button.
  12. In the Add Column window, select the columns that you want. Samples:
    Name
    Wireless Type
    IP Address
    Status
  13. Click Submit.
