Add a customized view in the Applications tab for specific nodes or applications

This article outlines adding a menu item, for customizing menu bars. In this instance, adding Citrix nodes/applications from the My Dashboards > Application  > <menu options>. 



  • NPM 12
  • SAM 6.2.1,
  • Windows 2012 R2


  1. go to Settings > Views > select Manage Views > select Linux application Summary and copy.
  2. Once the page refreshed, look for and edit Copy of Linux Application Summary.
  3. Rename the copied view, Citrix view~ / Citrix Application Summary~  then 'UPDATE',
  4. Scroll down to VIEW Limitation > Edit.
  5. Select the radio button for 'Application Name Pattern'   : continue :
  6. In the new screen, in the 'Application Name Pattern' use *Citrix* (include both astrix) : Submit : Preview, (copy the URL). Click Done and Next.
  7. Go to Settings > Customize Navigation & Look > select  'Customize Menu Bars'.
  8. Under... Menu Bar: APM_TabMenu, edit.
  9. Scroll down to the bottom of this\\e page and select the 'ADD' option,
  10. Under the "New Custom Menu Item", Name the item ie.... Citrix, (in this case)
  11. Paste the copied url in the URL section: (from the previously noted steps).
  12. Add a description if needed, confirm, OK.
  13. This will return you back to the 'Edit APM_TabMenu menu bar'.
  14. Drag you newly named menu from 'Available Items' to 'Selected Items', and Submit.
  15. This should complete the new application menu tab selection for Citrix nodes/applications.
  16. Now you should see the custom menu, under the My Dashboards > Applications section, which will include all nodes and application using *Citrix*.
