Overview

VM Clusters that are not supposed to be visible are still showing on the Virtualization Asset resource even after limitations were applied to an account.

Environment

NPM 11.5.x

Cause

  • Nodes are assigned in the groups that are being used in the Limitations.
  • Nodes do not filter on virtualization

Resolution

  1. Add the limitation - Group of Virtual Centers"(or DataCenter, Virtual Machines, etc. depending on the requirement to filter).
  2. Add the Virtual Center / Virtual Hosts into the Group.
