Account Limitation Error: You do not have permission to view the Net Object XXX

Overview

This article shows how to address the issue when the account limitation and views were already checked but the issue is still the same.

The following error message appears when viewing a particular node.  

 

Or in NPM 12 and above, the below message - you do not have permissions to access this view

 

 

Environment

NPM 11.5

NPM 12.x

Resolution

Please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Go to Settings > User Accounts > Managed Accounts.
  2. Tick on the account in question, then click on Edit.
  3. Look for Orion General Settings, under the Node Details View change the value from "Be Device Type" to "Node Details - Summary" then click on Submit. See image below:
