A previous version of Orion was detected on your server. The installation type of previous version does  not match the installation type of this installer

To continue with the installation, you must first uninstall the older Orion version.

Previous Installation Type Poller

Current Installation Type Full

Environment

NPM 11 and later

Cause

You are running an incorrect installer  package on the Additional Polling Engine .

Basically, you have downloaded Orion NPM installer for Primary Poller and once that server was upgraded, you are now trying to run the same installer on the Additional polling Engine.

Resolution

Note: In order to upgrade Additional Polling Engine, you need to download installer for Additional Polling Engine from the SolarWinds customer portal which is different from the Primary server installer package.

  1. Logon to https://customerportal.solarwinds.com/.
  2. Click > View All > Find the Orion Additional Polling Engine > Chose Download >  and then download the poller installation package.
