An AD group was added and all users in the group are unable to access the Orion Web Console.

All NPM versions

Solution 1

  1. Stop Information Services
  2. Browse to c:\inetpub\SolarWinds\ (default).
  3. Edit the web.config file:
    Search for this key:
    <add key="LogonFallback" value="false" />
    Set to true:
    <add key="LogonFallback" value="true" />
  4. Save the file.
  5. Run an iisreset.

Solution 2

On your Orion database, run the following query:
IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT [SettingName] FROM [dbo].[WebSettings] WHERE [SettingName]='LogonFallback')
BEGIN INSERT INTO [dbo].[WebSettings] ([SettingName],[SettingValue]) VALUES ('LogonFallback','False') END
ELSE BEGIN UPDATE [dbo].[WebSettings] SET [SettingValue]='False' WHERE [SettingName] = 'LogonFallback'

Solution 3
Check if the group is an AD Security Group and not a Distribution Group.

Note: We only support AD Security Groups.

Solution 4
Add the group to Local Administrator on the Orion Server.
