When trying to add a nodes to an NCM task such as an NCM Job or an NCM Compliance Policy, in the Orion Web Console, the following error message appears:

Website Error:

Message: ###.######### is not a valid value for Int32.

***Note ###.######### would be depicted as a sequence of real numbers in the actual message, but is not the same in each case

NCM version 7.1 and later.

First, to rule out the issue is with the browser or the machine in which the Orion Web Console is the issue, one should first attempt to use a different browser and or a different machine or both. If the issue is consistent across multiple machines and multiple browsers, move to the next logical step

Recreate the Orion website:

  1. Stop all Orion Services.
  2. Open IIS.
  3. In the left pane, click Sites and then select SolarWinds Website.
  4. Click Remove.
  5. In the left pane, click Application Pools.
  6. In the center pane, select SolarWinds Orion Application Pool and then click Remove.
  7. Open the file location C:\inetpub\SolarWinds.
  8. Locate the SolarWinds folder, and rename it.
  9. Open the Configuration Wizard: Start > All Programs > Solarwinds Orion > Configuration and Discovery > Configuration Wizard.
  10. In Modify or Repair the Configuration, select the Website option and then click Next.
  11. Follow the wizard until the configuration is complete.
