Unable to transfer using TFTP when uploading a config change to an ASA context

Updated September 14, 2016

Overview

When ASA contexts are added to NCM as its own entity, configs can be downloaded from the context  to NCM using TFTP, but does not work as an upload with TFTP.

Environment

Any version of NCM and Cisco ASA or FWSM contexts

Cause

When logging in to an ASA context, the context does not support the copy TFTP command.

Resolution

SSH must be used to transfer and the scripts of upload issued in configuration mode.
