The SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager application no longer exist after installing v 7.4 on the new Windows. In the old environment, the shortcut goes to Configuration-Management.exe. It was changed to Configuration-Management.exe.config after upgrade.

NCM 7.4

The upgrade removed the legacy Win32 NCM Application because it is no longer in the latest products.

The Application Configuration-Management.exe is no longer in the latest versions. SolarWinds dropped the older Win32 App a few releases back. If you have only upgraded from NCM 5 or v6, you will see it has gone.

NCM Now fully resides on the Web Console.:

Configuration Manager does now too:

NCM now is integrated into one database with Orion Core Database. There are no longer NPM and NCM databases. All is merged. On top of this, NCM is now supported across three Additional Pollers, boosting NCM Scalability from 10,000 to 30,000 Devices.
