Network Configuration Manager v7.5 Hotfix 1

Overview

This article provides resolution for the issue when NCM is unable to connect to Fortigate devices running on OS v5.2.5+.

Environment

  • NCM version 7.5

Details

SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager (NCM) 7.5.0 Hotfix 1Hotfix 1 addresses the following issue:

 

Install SolarWinds NCM 7.5.0 Hotfix 1

1.    Stop all Orion services.
2.    Back up the existing files (wodKeys.dll and wodSSH.dll) from the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SolarWinds folder
3.    Replace C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SolarWinds\wodKeys.dll and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SolarWinds\wodSSH.dll with the binary from the Hotfix zip package.
4.    Start the Orion services.
5.    Repeat these steps to install the Hotfix on all polling engines.

 

Uninstall SolarWinds NCM 7.5.0 Hotfix 1

Use the following instructions if you want to roll back the Hotfix

1.    Stop all Orion services.
3.    Replace C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SolarWinds\wodKeys.dll and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SolarWinds\wodSSH.dll with the original wodKeys.dll and wodSSH.dll files from backup.
4.    Start the Orion services.
5.    Repeat these steps to uninstall the Hotfix on all polling engines.

Note:
If there are no active connections between NCM and devices files can be replaced without bringing system down (stopping and starting services).
