Overview

This article provides information on naming convention of Device Template files used by NCM.

Detail

The following are conventions for naming template files (NCM 7.3.2 and older), or files used for importing templates using Web Console (NCM 7.4 and newer). File name shall be constructed as below example:

 

TEMPLATE_NAME-OID.ConfigMgmt-Commands

 

For example:

 

TEMPLATE_NAME = F5 Template A

OID = 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375 (this value is obtained through SNMP from sysObjectID / 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0)

file name = F5 Template A-1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.ConfigMgmt-Commands
