NCM Service Account does not work yet Active Directory account does when running jobs

Issue:

Any NCM scheduled job works using Active Directory credentials yet fails when using a service account.

Resolution:

This is usually due to permissions on the service account. Make sure the following apply:

  • Service account has local administrative privileges
  • Service account should not be a part of any other group other than local administrator
  • Make sure there are no group policies or local security policies are applied to the service account
