This article provides brief information and steps to resolve the issue when the NCM Search function does not work properly.
All NCM versions
Try the following when the issue occurs:
Refine your searches.
1. If no results show, re-index:
a. Go to Settings > NCM Settings > Search Settings.
b. Enter the Path: C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Cirrus\Lucene.
c. Click Apply.
2. If indexing fails, see NCM search in 7.4 giving "Indexing in progress 0% complete" caused by NCM-NPM nodes not being in sync for more troubleshooting steps.
3. If indexing still fails:
a. From your Orion server, go to the following path: C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Cirrus\Lucene,
b. Delete the contents.
c. Run the Configuration Wizard.
d. Restart Orion services after the Configuration Wizard completes for indexing to start.
