Log events for a detailed record of SolarWinds NCM functions

Enable verbose log information

Select which log types to keep verbose log information for. This information aids in troubleshooting.

  1. <snippettext src="Resources/Snippets/Settings-All-Settings.flsnp">Click Settings > All Settings.</snippettext>
  2. <snippettext src="Resources/Snippets/NCM-Settings.flsnp">Under Product Specific Settings, click NCM Settings.</snippettext>
  3. Under Advanced, click Advanced Settings.
  4. Select the log types.
  5. Click Submit.

Enable session tracing

Enable session tracing to create a log file of each Telnet session to troubleshoot communication node by node.

  1. Click Settings > All Settings.<snippettext src="Resources/Snippets/Settings-All-Settings.flsnp"> </snippettext>
  2. Under Product Specific Settings, click CLI Settings.
  3. Select Enable Session Tracing.
