Environment

  • NCM 7.4

 

Cause

The Managed Pipeline Mode is not automatically switched from Classic to Integrated mode upon upgrade.

Resolution

  1. Open IIS Manager (i.e. Start > Run > inetmgr)
  2. Click Application Pool
  3. In SolarWinds Orion Application Pool, change the Managed Pipeline Mode from Classic to Integrated
    1. Right click application pool
    2. Select Advanced Settings
    3. Change Manage Pipeline Mode
    4. Click OK
  4. Open the command prompt (i.e. Start > Run > cmd) with admin privilege and type iisreset /restart to restart the IIS service.
