By default, NCM is designed to save downloaded configs to both the SQL server in the NCM_ConfigArchive table and a Config Archive folder on the NCM server or Additional Polling Engine that the device is assigned to.

NCM, all supported versions

By default, the path to local Config Archive on the server is C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\NCM\Config-Archive. However, this path is customizable.

To determine the path:

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console.
  2. Click Settings > All Settings.
  3. Under Product Specific Setting, click NCM Settings.
  4. Under Config Settings, click Config Settings.

The local Config Archive location will be at the bottom of the page, in the Config Archive section.
