Unexpected Website Error: The socket connection was aborted

Updated March 11th, 2016

The following timeout error appears on the NCM Summary Page:

Unexpected Website Error

The socket connection was aborted. This could be caused by an error processing your message or a receive timeout being exceeded by the remote host, or an underlying network resource issue. Local socket timeout was '01:00:00'.

NCM v7.3

This error might occur if the NCM Summary page has Node List as one of the resources. NCM will be trying to summarize all the node details including the non NCM node details from the Orion Platform application.

Replace the Node List resource with NCM Node List:

  1. From the Orion Web Console, go to Settings.
  2. Go to Manage Views and select Config Summary. Click Edit.
  3. Click "X" to remove the Node List resource (default in Column 1).
  4. Click  "+" and select the NCM Node List. Then click Add Selected Resources.
  5. Click Done
