Unable to get image filename from firmware upgrade storage

Updated August 30, 2017

This article describes issues related to the following error:
Unable to get image filename "…" from firmware upgrade storage

  • NCM 7.6

Most likely the Firmware Upgrade storage is set to the same location as the TFTP server root directory. Firmware Upgrade storage should always point into different folder.

  1. Click Settings > All Settings.
  2. Under Product Specific Settings, click NCM Settings.
  3. Open ‘TFTP Server’ settings under the Network section and be sure that it is different than the ‘Storage Location’ under the Firmware Upgrade section.
