Overview

This articles describes the steps to resolve an issue where some views that contain NCM resources fail to load.  The Web Console displays the following error message:

 

There was an error retrieving data from SolarWinds Information Service
Invoke failed, check fault information.

 

In Information Service log, the following message is seen:

 

ERROR SolarWinds.InformationService.Core.InformationService - (null) Exception caught in method Invoke
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'SolarWinds.NCM.Common, Version=7.4.1.53

Resolution

  1. Open Programs and Features.
  2. Right-click the SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager under Uninstall or change a program.
  3. Click Repair.
  4. Run the Configuration Wizard ensuring that Database, Website, and Services are selected.
