Saving configs in text format

Overview

This article provides information on how to save the devices' configs in text format.

Steps

Solution 1

Note: This functionality is only available in NCM 7.4 and later.

  1. Login to the Web Console.
  2. Navigate to the device detail (Node Details).
  3. Select the Conifgs tab.
  4. Click and select conifg.
  5. On the Config Details view click SAVE TO FILE.
  6. Choose the desired option (for example, open in text editor, save file).

Solution 2

This functionality is based on the Export Configs job and is available to NCM versions. It allows you to export configs (single or multiple) of single or multiple devices at once. Refer to this article for more information, Create or edit a job in NCM.
