SQL logs indicate the Orion Platform server local machine account is used to access the Orion Platform database

Overview

When you review the SQL log files, the files indicate that the SolarWinds Orion Platform server local machine user account is being used to access the Orion Platform Database. In each occurrence, the procedure fails. 

Environment

  • NCM 7.5 and later

Detail

When you view the Orion Platform local machine account, the account indicates that it is used to access the Orion Platform database. This issue should only occur under the following conditions:

  • Orion Platform access to the database was set up using Windows Authentication instead of SQL accounts.
  • FIPS is enabled.
  • You are running an NCM inventory.
