No email notification for Config Change report jobs

Overview

This article provides information related to e-mails not being sent at the end of Config Change Report job.

Environment

NCM all versions

Cause 

This issue is caused by an incorrect email configuration (that is, email sender being rejected by mail server and incorrect SMTP server details).

Resolution

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console.
  2. Navigate to CONFIGS > Jobs.
  3. Select the job for which notification is not working and then click the Edit button.
  4. Click Next twice to access the Enter Notification Details tab.
  5. Verify the following settings:
    1. Reply Address - This must be allowed by your mail system. Please check with your mail admin(s).
    2. To - This has to be a valid email address.
    3. Email Server Address, Port Number, Authentication - These must be valid. Check with your mail admin(s) if you are not sure about these.
