Overview

This article provides brief information and a resolution to the following error in the NCM Policy rule:

Multi-line rule patterns syntax error 

Rules cannot be edited or saved. 

 

Environment

NCM, all supported versions

Cause 

The issue is caused by a corrupted rule.

Resolution

Re-create this rule and add it in the policy report to run successfully.
