Overview

A Juniper SRX Cluster is managed by NCM but FSM cannot import the same device through the NCM Repository Connector.

Environment

  • NCM 7.4 and newer

Cause

Missing device template.

Resolution

After performing below steps the same device can be imported to FSM by using the NCM Repository Connector

  1. Download the template attached to this article

    https://solarwinds-prod.mindtouch.us/@api/deki/files/530/Juniper-SRX-clustered-FSM-1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.ConfigMgmt-Commands

  2. Log in to the Orion Webconsole and navigate to Settings > NCM Settings
  3. In the Advanced grouping click Device Templates
  4. On the Device Templates Management tab click Import, browse for the file downloadedand then click Submit
  5. Add the Juniper SRX Cluster device to NCM by using the imported template
