Execute scripts to multiple NCM nodes based on NCM Node Groups

Table of contents

Updated November 16, 2016

Overview

The NCM Node Group is a custom text field you can use for node grouping within NCM. This is considered to be a legacy feature of NCM and in time, it will be phased out and will be replaced by the Orion Custom Properties. Note that this is not related to Orion groups. This NCM Node Group will not show up under Manage Nodes of Orion.

If you want to execute a script to multiple NCM node based on NCM Node Group, the best page to use is Configuration Management.

Environment

NCM version 7.5 and later

Steps

1. Access the Orion Web Console.

2. Go to CONFIGS tab > Configuration Management page.

3. Set Group by and choose the desired NCM Node Group

4. Select the devices that are part of the selected NCM group.

5. Click Execute Script.
