Overview

NCM does not have default templates for some types of devices. This article describes how to create a device command template if it does not exists.

Note:

  • In NCM 7.4 device templates are stored in the database
  • In NCM 7.4 device templates are created and modified from the Orion Web Console.

Environment

  • NCM 7.4 and later

Steps

Requirements:

  • Device vendor
  • Machine type
  • System OID (sysObjectID / 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0)

The following steps describe how to create a template to download the running config from an F5 LTM device using the system OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.1 as an example.
