Config Change Template fails validation

Overview

If the template script includes CLI commands with arguments, the extensibility framework that NCM uses inserts spaces at the beginning of the line in which the argument(s) occur.

For example:

CLI
{
  Password @NewPassword
}

becomes:

CLI
{
                 Password @NewPassword
}

The runtime value in such case may be corrupted by having the spaces included at the beginning of the actual value of the argument.

Environment

  • NCM all versions

Cause

By design, the extensibility framework that NCM uses inserts spaces at the beginning of the line in which the argument(s) occur

Resolution

As a workaround, remove the spaces from the CLI blocks.
