Overview

This article addresses the question if ConfigMgmt (native NCM) database and the NetPerfMon (Orion) database are still needed when creating a new Orion instance.

Environment

NCM, all supported versions

Detail

NCM 7.3 and later uses a single database. If NCM is upgraded from previous version to the 7.3 the installation process will automatically merge existing ConfigMgmt database into NetPerfMon database. Once merging (database migration) process is completed the ConfigMgmt database can be deleted.
