  • Can we create another copy (as a backup) of the directory in case something happens?

Environment

Detail

  • Where are the configs stored?
Configs are stored in the following location: Orion Database > ConfigArchive table.
Locally in the Orion Server: C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\NCM\Config-Archive.
  • How long are they stored for?
If you will edit 'Default Database and Archive Maintenance Job' (hover your mouse on top of CONFIGS tab > click Jobs), under ADD JOB SPECIFIC DETAILS, you should see the settings on how long configs are stored.
  • Can you change how long it is stored for?
Yes. Just edit 'Default Database and Archive Maintenance Job' > under ADD JOB SPECIFIC DETAILS and save the changes.
  • Can we create another copy (as a backup) of the directory in case something happens?
Manually copy the C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\NCM\Config-Archive folder on a different location but there is no way to set NCM to download configs on separate folders.
