Clear Inventory Queue in Network Configuration Manager

Overview

This article provides steps to manually clear the Inventory Queue in Network Configuration Manager (NCM). This might be necessary if the database collation is not supported and the Web Console does not clear the queue.

Environment

NCM, all supported versions

 

NOTE:

Permanent fix in NCM 7.5

Steps

Complete the following steps to clear the Inventory Queue in Network Configuration Manager (NCM):

  1. Create a backup of your database, although dropping views has no impact on stored data.
  2. Open SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or Orion Database Manager.
  3. Execute the following query to clear inventory queue:

DELETE FROM [dbo].[NCM_InventoryQueue]
