This article provides assistance in case of frequent high network utilization originating from the Orion server.


NCM 7.3


The most common reason for such behavior is that the polling being set to poll data is too frequent, especially in large environments. Even though NCM does not provide monitoring capability by means of performance monitoring but there are still basic tasks performed.


  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Polling Settings.
  3. Review settings and lower down frequency especially on statistics collection.
