Overview

This article discusses the Find Connected Ports feature in NCM to track devices connected to an environment.

Environment

NCM 6.1 and later

Detail

This feature shows devices connected to a network when the following are satisfied:

  • The node is monitored by NPM
  • The switch the device is connected to is monitored by NPM
  • The interfaces on the switch are monitored by NPM
  • There is a scheduled discovery running as the last data presented will only be as current as the last discovery
