Overview

This article provides steps on how to export configs from the database.

Environment

NCM 7.2 and later

Steps

To accomplish the task, you can simply utilize NCM Jobs. One of the types is Export Configs which allows you to export configs stored in the database to the local (or network) storage. It also allows you to export either last configs of selected type or all configs.

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console.
  2. Navigate to CONFIGS > Jobs - you need NCM Administrator role assigned to your account, also prior to the NCM 7.2.2 you can only see jobs authored by you.
  3. Click Create New Job.
  4. Enter the required details and make sure to select Export Configs from within Job Types drop down.
  5. Complete the setup according to your requirements.
