Execute script on a node in NCM

Overview

This article contains steps on how to execute a script against a device in NCM. Through this, you can confirm that your script is valid and you can use it in i.e. alert to trigger NCM action.

Environment

NCM version 7.4 and earlier

Steps

  1. Go to the Orion Web Console.
  2. Choose CONFIGS tab.
  3. Click Configuration Management.
  4. Select a node you want to test the script on.
  5. Click Execute Script.
  6. Here you can either Load Script from file or type it in just below the Load Script from file in the white box.
  7. When you have the script ready, click Execute.

 

Note: Before executing you can also tick Save script and/or Execute in Config Mode.
