Connected! Disconnect: Protocol error

Overview

This article provides brief information and a resolution to the following error when a scheduled job is executed on multiple devices:

Connected!

Disconnect: Protocol error

Environment

NCM version 7.4.1

Cause 

The issue is related to the specific devices and the amount of data devices presented during a login session. 

Resolution

Reduce the number of simultaneous sessions:

  1. Log in to the Orion Web Console.
  2. Go to NCM Settings.
  3. Go to Configs Settings (Configs > Configs).
  4. Reduce number of Simultaneous Downloads/Uploads (you may need to experiment with the final figure).
  5. Click on Submit.
  6. Attempt job execution.
