Announcing NCM 7.7
With NCM 7.7, you can examine the rules that make up an access control list for a Cisco ASA device. Then you can apply filters to display only rules that meet the specified criteria, order the rules by line number or by the hit count, and much more.

Configurations won't download for Devices with unsupported characters in the Node Name

Table of contents
No headers

Issue:

Device configurations will not download

Resolution:

This issue is a rare occurrence. However, if a Node Name has an unsupported character (non-alphanumeric), the download configuration operation in NCM will fail to write the files.

The only supported non-alphanumeric character I am aware of is the underscore "_" character.

If all nodes not backed-up use supported characters in their name, then contact SolarWinds technical support.
