Updated: October 5, 2017

Overview

This article provides a fix for an error that occurs after upgrading to NCM 7.6 from a previous version.

Environment

  • Upgrade to NCM 7.6 from previous versions of NCM

Cause

There is a bug while creating the following new NCM_Firmware tables and view:

NCM_FirmwareOperationsView (view)

NCM_FirmwareDefinitions

NCM_FirmwareOperationNodes

NCM_FirmwareOperations

NCM_FirmwareUpgradeImages

NCM_FirmwareUpgradeMachineTypes

The view and tables should be empty. Do not use the following resolution if tables above are not blank and open up a support ticket.

Resolution

1. Navigate to SQL server and open SQL management studio.

2. Select the Orion database.

3 Drop/Delete the following tables and view from the Orion database:
NCM_FirmwareOperationsView (view)

NCM_FirmwareDefinitions

NCM_FirmwareOperationNodes

NCM_FirmwareOperations

NCM_FirmwareUpgradeImages

NCM_FirmwareUpgradeMachineTypes

Example drop view script procedure:

a. Right-click database --> Select 'New Query'

b. Enter the following query :

DROP VIEW [dbo].[NCM_FirmwareOperationsView]
GO

c. Execute Query

Example drop table script procedure:

a. Right-click database --> Select 'New Query'

b. Enter the following query:
